I Can’t Love Shatta Wale But I Don’t Hate Him – Poet Nazir Voices Out

We all understand that, there’s always difference in the world of music and world of poetry. And we all have different perception to something or someone. Some way, somehow, we’re all confused as to why Poet Nazir, Lost Heart Spoken Word hit maker, is sharing his dislike for the acclaimed Dancehall king in Ghana. In understanding what he truly meant, he “can’t” not he doesn’t. This means this stand of dislike is very heavy. We all shouldn’t get confused for these two words. When you can’t love someone, means there’s nothing of him that you will ever cherish or even appreciate. But why Shatta? Not any other artiste in Ghana… There have been number of questions that bind this issue. On Poet Nazir’s IG, he posted about this….

Music is dynamic though but some artistes in Ghana are misusing this saying. Recording of track isn’t a by force act. You only record something when you have something to talk/sing about. But this era is full of some p**k artistes who are making music because people expect them to. To me, there’re only few artistes in Ghana here and I won’t include Shatta Wale among them.

He was asked why he won’t include Shatta Wale among the successful artistes in Ghana meanwhile Shatta Wale is reigning and he said…

He is an amazing artiste though but none of his songs touch my soul because music should be able to pierce the soul of any listener. Like Sarkodie, Bisa Kdei, Simi, Strongman, Ebony, Efya, Davido, Wizkid, Skyzee, Wallistic, Kidi, Eugene, Stonebwoy among others do, compare their styles without engaging his/her fans. You will see clearly that, he(Shatta) is out of the box, to me. And again, music is not about entertaining but also advocating and showcasing the need to live a better life or singing according to occasion. He is also proud and always thinks that be is the best dancehall artiste in the world which not even @sarkodie1 had name himself best rapper worldwide. So Shatta Wale should chill out. For me, he cannot impress me in anyway. If I stand to sing I can do better than him, lol.

Poet Nazir went ahead on his Facebook page posted that Shatta Wale can never be used as a role model even though thousand see him to be so.

We will keep you updated if Shatta Wale replies with anything saucy.
